The brains behind the operation
Now in its fourth generation, the Power Control and Accessory System (PCAS) has more than ten years of development and testing and over 1.7 million real world test miles on over 200 trucks. The entire electric drivetrain can be tuned through the PCAS to balance performance, efficiency, and range. For ease of integration, it can be installed where a conventional engine would typically be located but can also be located in other convenient locations depending on space available.
iBCR: Increased use of electrical braking and more
The integrated Brake Chopper & Resistor (iBCR) is a versatile system designed to enhance two key aspects of electric commercial vehicle performance: electrical endurance braking and energy efficiency. This innovative solution ensures efficient energy management by enabling increased electric braking without the need for additional battery capacity. Functioning as an electrical equivalent to a mechanical retarder, it redirects the excess energy generated during braking to a liquid-cooled resistor, where it is dissipated as heat. This heat can then be reused to warm the vehicle, thereby improving overall system efficiency.
